[Hiring] WordPress Plugin Developer

Hey guys! I've been trying to make a wordpress store work, and i've realized that one of the plugins I need to make it work like a charm doesnt exist.

To that end I'd like to hire a wordpress plugin developer

The plugin will need to use functions provided by the Plex.tv API in order to manage libraries for users through the wordpress page. I want to be able to give the wordpress site to my friends and coworkers in order to manage their access to my plex account, instead of doing it manually. Will probably need integration with other WordPress extensions.

Good source of info that I would need integrated: https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/comments/6vprz4/automate_sharing/

This is +- what I need done.

Budget is $200-400+. Please send me your discord information and a portfolio.

[For Hire] I will collect information off websites or automate online tasks from $30

Hey all!

I'm a Python developer based in Houston TX and I'm looking to make a little money on the side selling web scraping services. Some examples of my work:

- Collect ~80k listings from Yellow Pages

- Get all data for ~12k California contractors

- Collect all reviews, images, and other data from Alibaba listings

Most of my clients prefer just the .XLSX file of the data, but I can provide the source code as-well as an app you can use yourself!

My apps are coded with web languages and Python using Eel, but everything is compiled in the app so you won't have to install many dependencies (besides Python and possibly one or two things).

I really look forward to working with you! I reply fast so shoot me a PM for a free quote :)

[Hiring] Windows C# Programmer $25/hr Freelance

We're looking for a C# programmer to help us modify an open source program. We're in the process of RnDing and are looking to automate a section of that workflow now.The work itself is related to camera operation, so if you have experience with Sony/Canon/Nikon API, big plus.

We have spoken with the original developer, but unfortunately he doesn't have the time to invest in the project anymore. His response when asking about hiring a freelancer was "The source is open and its really simple. Even a novice developer should grasp what is going on within a couple of hours, just look for someone with Windows and C# experience."

We're looking mostly to add timer/delay functionality(Intervalometer), repeatability, with some ability to modify camera settings (Aperture, ISO,etc) in between the time delays.

The pay is $25/hr for approximately 10 hrs worth of work with familiarization, addition of features, and trouble shooting/tweaks.

[For Hire] Network and System software/automation freelancer looking for work (~ $35/hr, or fixed per-project fee)

About me:

https://vnetman.org

I specialize in writing network applications, automation infrastructure code and system software for Linux and "Unix-like" systems. The tools of my trade are Ansible, Python, C and C++. My Perl and shell-scripting skills aren't too bad either.

I worked for 18+ years at a major networking equipment vendor, where I wrote software applications for switches and routers. In the process, I developed a deep understanding of how packets move, and about the boxes that make packets move.

Outside of Networking, my areas of expertise include Linux and Embedded systems. I have some hands-on experience with OpenStack and Docker. I have an understanding of Cloud Networking in the context of OpenStack Neutron.

I have decent writing skills, and a couple of my technical articles on the web register a few dozen hits every day. I take pains to document my work and explain them to my clients.

I live in Bangalore, India (UTC+0530).

Portfolio:

I divide my time between building solutions for my clients, creating open-source projects and writing the occasional article on programming network applications.

My client projects include:

  • a set of Ansible playbooks (about 300 tasks in all) to install and configure an OpenStack instance on a single computer, for an IoT Edge application. The playbooks were embedded inside a Docker container, and running the container would start the ansible-playbook runs.

  • an Ansible playbook to deploy and configure VyOS routers in an VmWare ESXi environment

  • a "domain name catcher" for Nominet in C: a project that involved detailed dissections and numerical analysis on packet capture (PCAP) files using Python

  • use of profiling techniques to dramatically improve the performance of a C++ desktop network application

I have several projects on GitHub, including:

  • an Ansible role that configures AAA, Layer-2, Layer-3, QoS and Netflow on a Cisco Catalyst switch

  • a lookup plugin for Ansible that expands strings of the form "Gi3/1-4,Gi4/1-4" and generates a list of full individual interface names: very handy when writing Network Automation playbooks

  • a Python PCAP to CSV converter (extracts fields from a PCAP file and populates the rows of a CSV document)

  • a Network Automation demo, where I have code to perform a particular network configuration task using multiple approaches: Python, NETCONF/YANG, Chef, Puppet and Ansible

  • a PCAP generator in Python that assembles a PCAP from a set of TCP stream descriptors

I have a couple of fairly popular technical articles online: an article on Network Automation and one on using Python programming techniques to analyze packet capture (PCAP) files.

What I can do for you:

  • write/test/debug/deploy network automation code (Ansible playbooks, Python scripts etc.)

  • write/test/debug/deploy network applications, tools and utility scripts (in C, C++ and Python - Perl and bash/Bourne shell as well)

  • use standard GNU tools like gcc, gdb, gprof, gcov and make to build system software in C and C++

  • write technical articles, blog posts, training material etc. on Networking and Network Automation

  • port open-source projects to your platform

I am open to both per-hour contracts and fixed per-contract fees.

[FOR HIRE] Lead Generation & Automation for Insurance, Legal, Solar, Roofing, Contractors, Realtors, Loan Officers, and Car Dealerships.

Hey all.

My name is Ozzy and I'm a media buyer. Quick recap of what I do & how I got started: I was interning at a law firm to gain some resume experience, accidentally got into marketing, started doing lead generation for personal injury lawyers and fell in love with marketing ever since. I've been doing this for around 8 months now.

I realized that a lot of lead reliant industries, like dealerships insurance, solar panels, loan officers, realtors, roofers, contractors, etc, all have weak follow up. A big problem in the industry is the misunderstanding of what a lead is. The easiest part of marketing is getting someone to say they're interested. The hardest part is converting them to an appointment and then eventually sale.

When an insurance agent buys leads from a company, they expect a sale, but when that doesn't happen, they blame the lead gen company.

Place yourself in the consumers POV and analyze why they most likely told you off.

You're calling a prospect who has absolutely no idea who you are, what you want, what you're trying to sell them, and why you want to talk to them. Before you even get on the phone with them, you're already at a disadvantage. Don't blame the consumer. They just don't know anything about your company. Imagine the difference in response when right off the bat, they know what your company is, where you're located, what you do, who's going to be calling them, at what time they're going to be called, etc. All of this is possible through workflows, automation, and drip campaigns.

Where do I come in? I create everything from the lead generation campaigns, to the branded landing pages, workflows, CRMs, drip campaigns, automation, etc.

Specifically what I do:

- Run Lead Gen Campaigns on Google, Facebook & Bing using branding techniques.

- Create landing pages to direct lead gen traffic

- Create CRM tailored to your team/s

- Implement an automated workflow automatically dealing with your leads

- Create SMS & Email Drip Campaigns specifically tailored to your clients needs.

P.S. Keep in mind that most leads come in after 5pm, since that's when everyone is home from work. Most offices also close at 5pm. What happens to the leads that come in from 5pm to 8am? Most of the time, they're either worked way later than they should have or not worked at all.

FAQ:

What industries do you work in:

- Legal

- Car Dealerships

- Insurance

- Real Estate

- Mortgage

- Credit Repair

- Solar

- Roofing

- Contractors

Is this a package deal?

Yes. My prices vary per industry, but all begin at $2000/month.

Do you sell JUST leads?

Yes I do, but I have strict guidelines. Any lead only order must be with a minimum of 50 leads with a specified area. Lead prices begin at $15, and cap at $200/each, depending on location, niche and other factors. Insurance is typically the cheapest, meanwhile roofing and legal are the more costly ones.

I think I addressed the most important questions, but please let me know if I missed something or you have questions.

Thanks!

[For Hire] SEO from a content website owner

Hi Reddit!

Let's talk SEO.

Not how annoying, or stressful it is... how about how sensible and cheap it is! I guess if you want to hire me to talk about how annoying it is, $10 is $10...

Before you read any further, I wont even humor the idea of anything less than high quality, white hat SEO.

I have been running a content website for almost two years. I've finally got it on SEO lockdown with a little over 13k valid indexed pages from only 4000 articles. All articles are either manually written by paid authors, guest authors, or professionally written by PR companies. I've done a lot of work myself and hired hired a digital marketing agency to fill in the gaps where I got stuck. Luckily for me, I was able to package it all together so I can understand and the process. I'm playing the long game though; writing content, getting indexed, hoping become a valuable resource in the next few years - which is why I'm looking for work during these years!

I have two content websites, one which I launched a few weeks ago targeting "Canada". Also to use as a portfolio piece on SEO procedures to acquire results in a short time. Feel free to PM me and I'll give you both URLs - you can audit them, check the backlinks on MOZ, check indexed pages, etc... I'm an open book.

SEO is a real pain and can be rather tricky to wrap your head around at times. To be honest, I really feel like the juice is just kept secret by Marketing companies so they can make the charge the big bucks. But as I mentioned, it's not as complicated as many make it seems and doesn't need to be that expensive.

Let me rock your SEO out for you. I can help with the following, or I optimize your full website from scratch.

  • Data monitoring & Analytics (not google analytics, SEO analytics)
  • Long term Planning & Structuring
  • Conversion goals
  • SEO & Marketing Blueprints
  • Backlinks (the real ones)
    • backlinks are like votes - when a site links to yours with a "do-follow" link it in a sense tells google that it vouches for you. Google cares about relevancy which is why that helps your rankings.
  • Content writing
  • Ghost Writing
  • Content structuring
  • Audience Targeting
  • Communication with like-minded websites to acquire backlinks
  • Ghost Writing to create backlinks on other like-minded websites
  • SEO Automation
  • Wordpress configurations
  • Database cleanup

I also have a full understanding of:

  • Keyword use, density, and phrases
  • How "keywords" aren't used the same way as before
  • Geo targeting
  • Text to html necessities
  • SEO Automation (meta info, alt tags, etc...)
  • Aggregators
  • HTML & CSS

For what it's worth, some projects are massive while some may be a few lines of code editing. I'm conscious of that, and willing to discuss and help with both small and large projects.

Prices start at $500 per project, and are negotiable.

[For Hire] Business Development | Process Consulting | Marketing - I generated $8.4M in revenue over the past 3 years working with Entrepreneurs with cool ideas.

Hey r/ForHire,

I'm back after a couple of big projects looking for follow-up successes.

My Background

  • 4 Years of Experience in Digital Marketing (Performance & Branding): I managed and led the growth of a video advertising business for my first client. We started from piece-meal deals to gross over $4,000,000/annum in 12 months' time. From there I worked with a leading social media monetization platform acquiring pages with large following such as Akon, 50 Cent, etc. generating over $1.6M in annually recurring revenue.

  • 6 Years of B2B Sales (Technical Leaning): I managed over $40M in revenue for a prominent online marketplace owned by Amazon. Following this, I move to manage North America sales for a very prominent online marketplace (AbeBooks), and run my own e-commerce store.

  • 3 Years of Process Building / Organizational Management: The start-ups I work with are typically understaffed and overworked making processes super important. This sort of work boils down to "flows" and automation projects but is vastly different per client.

What I Can Offer

  • Business Development,
  • Customer Outreach,
  • Lead Generation,
  • CRM / E-mail Management and Setup,
  • Sales / Marketing Materials,
  • Digital Marketing,
  • Building and Improving Business and Marketing Processes,
  • etc.

Who I'm Looking For

Companies where I can make a direct positive change to the bottom-line where they have a "sellable" product. If you have a vetted business model and you're looking to scale-up - you're where I've seen success.

My monthly retainer is typically around the $1,500 USD range largely depending on the complexity of the project. I don't bill off time, normally, I don't watch the clock.

How to Contact Me

PM me on here and we can quickly hop on an intro call.

I operate in the PST time zone.

Note - If you're not able to offer a monthly retainer/salary and only have a commission-based position available, you should at least have warm leads or a marketing budget to kick-start things.

Put your location and skills here, as well as how to contact you.

Location: Philly grad -> EU drone -> going nomad somewhere south of the equator for a spell

Contact: message me on Reddit first please or email artilectautomata@gmail.com. hangouts, WhatsApp, phone, are all fine after. If you're having trouble thinking of something I've included an exercise below.

Skills: (technical?) python, go, javascript, sql and their popular variants & frameworks

Skills: (soft): product & project portfolio manager, Data Science++ (type B with enough business sense to make $ and not just pretty models), Business Analyst, Policy Research, Technical and Speech writing**

People have been asking for help with breaking down/pinning down their misery work, I thought it might be helpful to give some general guideline:

  1. Write down what you do in your job
  2. Put them into buckets, things you do daily and things you do sporadically
  3. Break the daily bucket into two, things you do almost by reflex (like it's second nature e.g. brushing your teeth ) and things that require deliberate thought.
  4. The last break: take the automatic bucket and break it into tasks you do on your own versus things that are part of 'someone else's process' or 'The Process (legally regulated).'

Message me with what the tasks you do on your own in part 4. We'll begin automating there.

People have also asked me how I present and deliver my work

  1. I use https://colab.research.google.com/notebooks/welcome.ipynb# to show the code working and to show my working (no lock in)
  2. You get a nice video showing the full functionality in action
  3. We agree or go back to 1 and 2. I explain how to run the code (if any more explanation is necessary)
  4. After paypal, the code and everything required to run is handed over and we make sure it's integrated and functioning. Then I (or rather you, I’ll show you) lock it down so you’re the sole user.

I’m working on a proper portfolio to go with my online work. In the meantime some stories of old:

  • Case Study: First time I used this method was when I was a policy researcher and research assistant/apprentice at an int. org. I automated A LOT of my reporting by scraping the applicable sites' minutes in python, summarizing them (for my daily oral reports to the boss). In my spare time I got to take the actual policy experts out to lunch to get a nuanced version of their policy positions for the actual written report. **

I can best explain what I can do for you by describing a bit of what I've done for others (granular details upon request, here's the gist).

  • 'Project Goldfinger' a dev at a mining holding company needed to merge multiple reports from multiple mines/subsidiaries for the group CEO going on a roadshow. Some files were excel, others came from esoteric accounting software all were ready at different times. I wrote a script to merge the files with the help of airflow and a lot of tests to make sure the data pipeline remained solid.

  • I also had to design a rudimentary dashboard with authorized views. Depending on the executive they had limited access to the files. A week's worth of work done. All he has to do is ensure they train people on the data format to upload the excel sheets, hound those who are late and make sure no one figures out why he insisted on a high spec razer laptop is essential to his work.

  • get x data from y api and put it in z format (i get a lot of these, feel free to go wild!)

  • social media listening (self-explanatory, competitor analysis, hashtag, and keyword analysis, marketing/niche identification, identify influencer networks) fb insta, twitter, blogs, etc.

  • web/screen scraping: get x data from y site and put it in z format (i get a lot of these, go wild! - did I already say this?)

  • editing (general). I like to deliver everything in python3 but can refactor code to go or react if needed.

What’s next

DM me with a flow statement of what you'd like eliminated/automated from your daily grind, I'll give you a brief free consult and how long/how much I expect it to take and we can go from there. So far my reddit tasks have averaged out to $100 per task (mainly due to addons the client fiends beneficial or enhancements asked for by prior clients). $35-$250 is a fair target in terms of time/effort but I'm happy to talk to everyone!'

** WTF? I was/am a middling serial entrepreneur/business owner, burntout (recovered), brokeup with cofounder (is it weird it hurts more than breaking up with my LTG? - sorry wrong sub) now redescovering the joy, by doing something useful.

**although if you were one of my employee I’d give you one hell of promotion if you succeeded at obseleting your position. I’m not sure but I think this was Ursula Burns (Xerox) philosophy and requirement to move up.)

[Hiring] (Online) Senior Python Engineer -Backend / Sales Automation

Our company helps folks sell their homes for a lower commission than usual by partnering with thousands of real estate agents nationwide. Agents are willing to work for a discount because we're filling up their idle time. They view the discount as marketing spend, and they only pay us when deals close.

We’re looking for someone with backend engineering experience, ideally in Django, who is comfortable taking on high-level challenges and translating them into engineering results. You’ll work closely with our Head of Engineering and Chief Strategy Officer to define product requirements, build a technical roadmap, and write code that accelerates a rapidly-scaling Sales Team.

We follow a scrum(ish) process with one week sprints. We use GitHub w/ PRs for version control, though our code reviews are often a quick sanity-check, rather than close inspections.

We're honest with ourselves about which products can break and which cannot. We regularly push experimental code for our internal sales tooling, for example. This lets us get feedback extremely quickly and ensure we're not wasting our time barking up the wrong tree. Changes to our website, on the other hand, undergo thorough QA before release.

Soon, all of our infrastructure (which lives on AWS) will be declaratively described with Terraform. That way, we'll be able to check Terraform code into version control and know exactly what our infrastructure looked like at a particular point in time.

Salary $80k-$150k based on experience.

If you're interested PM me a link to your portfolio or resume.

[HIRING] Digital Advertiser (Facebook, Google, or LinkedIn)

Hi there-

I've recently had some good experience hiring some folks from Reddit, so thought I'd try again:

I'm an Inbound Marketing/Marketing Automation consultant, working almost exclusively in HubSpot. At the moment, I've got almost no time to try and bring in new business (busy delivering the actual services), and I've got a few colleagues ready to jump on board to help offer a few additional services as well.

What I'm looking for is someone to deliver warm leads that I can get on a call with, understand what they're trying to do with HubSpot, or what isn't working, and close. The market is huge right now, and I don't want to miss most of it because I don't have the time necessary to dedicate to advertise (I do outreach in other ways: email, LinkedIn, etc).

You all know the drill :)

Since I have to put a rate- $100 (Obviously this is placeholder- happy to discuss for the right fit).

Let's chat!
